Legend Times adds Australia and Africa to growing international reach

London-based group of independent publishing companies, Legend Times has agreed deals to increase its sales distribution reach into Australia and Africa as part of its continued expansion.

Having announced in May annual revenue growth of 88% for Legend Press, its fiction publisher, international reach is a key part of Legend Times’ 2020 growth plan. Its new partners for sales will be Independent Publishers Group (IPG) in Australia and Tula Publishing and Intersoft in Africa.

Entry into these new marketings follows the previously announced partnerships in US and Canada (IPG) and in India (Penguin Random House). Reps have also been contracted to sell into Europe, Middle-East, Far-East and Africa.  Within the UK, Compass Independent Publisher Sales are now handling wholesalers and independent bookshop sales with Martin Palmer Publishing Services handling Waterstones, supermarkets and special sales accounts.

Legend Times has also seen a sharp increase in the licensing business in the past 18 months, leading to the recruitment of Sarah Nicholson, previously at Lonely Planet, in a newly created position of Licensing and Digital Sales Manager.

All new sales partnership will represent the growing lists of Legend Press and Legend Business, the business book publisher in the Legend Times Group.
